Burger King Is Launching Two Major New Burgers

Twenty years ago, Burger King would have said it couldn't invest in a plant-based beef menu.

The chain has made great progress in that area in the past three years. King of flame-broiled beef patties and plant-based powerhouse

Impossible Foods introduced some of the first widespread meat-alternative burgers. The Impossible King and Southwest Bacon Whopper are its latest plant-based products.

June 27 marks the nationwide release of the new burgers. The Impossible King will have a flame-grilled plant-based burger with

American cheese, sliced white onions, crunchy pickles, ketchup, and mustard on a toasted sesame seed bun. A 2 for $6 Mix n' Match promotion will include it.

Avocado spread, seasoned tortilla strips, crispy bacon, and a creamy spicy sauce make up the Impossible Southwest Bacon Whopper.

Southwest Impossible is one of three Southwest Bacon Whoppers, along with a Jr. and Double.

The burgers will include beef patties instead than Impossible patties but have the same components.

Burger King's plant-based fast food journey continues with the new Whoppers. The chain's Impossible Whopper debuted nationwide in

August 2019. It thrilled meat-eaters and vegans. Burger King briefly tested Impossible Nuggets in 2021.
